and its customers.
These terms apply exclusively. Deviating terms of the customer are not recognised.
2. Contracting parties, conclusion of contract
The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer but an invitation to place an order.
By clicking the order button at the end of the ordering process (“Order with obligation to pay”), the customer submits a binding offer to conclude a purchase contract.
The contract is concluded as soon as we confirm the order by email or ship the goods.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are final prices.
As a small business pursuant to § 6(1)(27) Austrian VAT Act 1994 (UStG) and under the EU small business scheme (KU-ID: AT706550126-EX), we are exempt from VAT. Therefore no VAT is charged or shown.

4. Delivery
Delivery is made by DPD to the address specified by the customer.
Unless stated otherwise, delivery takes approx. 2–7 working days from dispatch. For custom-made products, the delivery time is correspondingly longer as stated in the product description.
For prepayment, the delivery period begins upon receipt of payment.
There are no deliveries on Sundays and public holidays.
5. Retention of title
The goods remain the property of Die Tüftlerei e.U. until paid in full.
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days.
There is no right of withdrawal for custom-made products, in particular for goods
- made to customer specifications,
- individually adapted, or
- clearly tailored to personal needs
(e.g. cut-to-size parts, custom dimensions, individualised milling or rail systems).
This corresponds to § 18(1)(3) FAGG (Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act). This applies in particular to parts from our CNC contract manufacturing and our 3D printing service that are made to customer specifications. For design and planning services, the special notes in the withdrawal policy apply.
The full withdrawal policy is available on the website.
7. Warranty
The statutory warranty provisions apply.
For consumers, the warranty period is 2 years from receipt of the goods.
For businesses, the warranty period is 12 months.
Obvious transport damage should be reported to the carrier immediately – however, this does not affect statutory warranty rights.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence.
In the case of slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable damage.
Liability for lost profits or consequential damage is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
9. Applicable law
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
For consumers, this choice of law only applies insofar as it does not restrict mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of residence.
10. Place of jurisdiction
For businesses, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Die Tüftlerei e.U. in Austria.
11. Dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
